There is limited free street parking is available on Allen Street as well as the surrounding side streets. Pay close attention to street signs to avoid parking fees. Or, you can park in the post parking garage just past Starbucks on Oak Grove Avenue. Make sure to print out a pass from one of the garage kiosks for 2 hours of free parking, and clearly display the pass on your dashboard to avoid begin towed!
It's Your First Class! Congrats! In order to get you all squared away, please arrive 10 minutes prior to your first class. Upon arriving to the studio, let the trainer and/or front desk staff know. We recommend you sit next to a veteran surfer (they are awesome and can help) as well as towards the front of the class so the instructor can ensure you have a great experience!
Injuries, they suck, but we can work with them. We all live hard and fast and accidents happen - we get it. In order to give the best modifications for you, we need to be aware of your injuries or physical limitations. Please tell the instructor prior to the class of any injuries you have.
If you're not barefoot (on in socks) you're overdressed! Classes are done in either socks or bare feet. Shoes are not allowed on the studio rubber flooring and should be placed in the designated cubbies or lockers.
Cell phones in the studio. Nobody likes to be interrupted by a cell phone, even if you're ringtone is "Surfin' U.S.A. by The Beach Boys. we ask that prior to attending a class, all cell phones must be turned to silent, and placed, along with a customer’s belongings, in the cubby or locker area.
Don't Steal Someone's Wave and Just Be Nice. Please be respectful of the instructor and fellow surfers. We are here to ensure the class is run in a fun and effective manner. Talking over the instructor or inhibiting him/her from explaining a move is not tolerated.
Late arrivals. Surfers arriving 5 or more minutes after a class begins will not be allowed to participate in the class, which would be lame. So try not to do it.
We're a studio ... not the beach, sadly. Although we may pretend we're on the beach, we ask that all clients wear a top and bottom during class. We have found that yoga pants, shorts, tanks, and shirts allow for the best workout experience for all CSF customers.
Sorry I Was Late, I Had A Board Meeting - late and no show policy. If a client cancels 10 hours or less before a scheduled class, a $10 late cancel fee will be charged. If a client cancels 2 hours or less before a scheduled class, or don't show at all, a $20 no show fee will be charged.
Age limitations. Participants must be 16 years or older. Participants under the age of 18 must have their parent or guardian contact the studio manager and lead trainer as well as sign a waiver prior to the participants first class.
